Exhibition & Public Programs

Aumzens Cultural Initiative Inc. will present Regong: The Painted Sacred in 2026—an educational exhibition initiative exploring Rebgong (Regong) Thangka from Qinghai, China. Framed as “How Thangka Works,” the project introduces Thangka not only as images, but as a living system shaped by canon, craft, and community life: how artists are trained, how materials and techniques are transmitted, and how paintings function in ritual and everyday settings.

• Object-based storytelling workshop for students and community audiences
• Public humanities programs with partner institutions (optional course collaboration)
